F1 Barcelona Transfer

The Circuit de BarcelonaCatalunya is 30 km outside the city, and on a race weekend that drive decides how the rest of your day goes. We collect you from your hotel or the airport, put you at the right gate before the C17 fills up, and we are parked and waiting when the podium is finished. You agree the price with us before you travel.

Event Details

The Barcelona round is run at the Circuit de BarcelonaCatalunya in Montmelo, roughly 30 km northeast of the city and 40 km from El Prat. From 2027 the race shares its calendar slot with SpaFrancorchamps, which means Barcelona hosts next in 2028, then 2030 and 2032. Whichever year you are coming for, we plan every F1 Barcelona transfer around gate opening times rather than session times, because the queue on the motorway forms long before the cars go out.

What we run across a Grand Prix weekend

An F1 Barcelona transfer with us means a professional chauffeur and a clean car for as long as you actually need one. That might be a single leg, a full day with the driver staying with you, or the same car and the same driver from Thursday arrival through to Monday departure. Our F1 Barcelona chauffeur service collects across the Eixample, Passeig de Gracia, Port Vell, the Gothic Quarter and the business hotels out at Granollers.

Off peak, the run to Montmelo takes about 45 minutes. On Sunday morning you should allow 90. That gap is the entire argument for booking a car in advance. City taxis mostly refuse the return leg because they cannot pick up again out there, and the ride hailing apps put their prices up the moment the race ends. A Barcelona Grand Prix private transfer booked with us is quoted once and stays at that number.

  • 100% luxurious fleet, from EClass saloons to eight seat vans and minibuses.
  • Every car valeted and serviced before it leaves our yard.
  • English speaking chauffeurs who drive the Montmelo approach roads every season.
  • Child seats, extra luggage room and bottled water on request.
  • Flight tracking on every airport run, with nothing added for delays.

Why Choose Barcelona Wheels

We have driven this weekend enough times to know where the traffic stops moving and where you want to be standing when you walk back out.

Timed to the gates

We work backwards from gate opening rather than from the start time, so you are inside while the rest of the field is still sitting on the motorway.

A car that waits

Book your driver for the day and the same car holds at a point you agreed that morning, just outside the parking lockdown, until you reach it.

One contact, One Bill

Running cars for clients or a team? You deal with one person here across the whole weekend, and you get one invoice at the end of it.

Booking Process

Create your Route

Give us the pickup address, the gate or grandstand you are heading for, and whether you want a single run or the driver for the full day.

Book your chauffeur

Reserve online, by phone or over WhatsApp. We confirm the car and the price for your F1 Barcelona transfer in writing the same day.

Receive a confirmation

The evening before, you get your driver's name, their mobile number, the car details and a pickup time built around race day traffic.

Get to or from the airport

Most of the paddock and most of the guests land at BCN El Prat on Thursday and Friday, and both arrival waves are heavy. Your chauffeur watches the flight, meets you inside the terminal with a name board and takes you straight to the hotel. Plenty of people book an F1 Barcelona transfer as an airport run first and add the circuit days once their tickets are confirmed. Our F1 Barcelona airport transfer also covers Sabadell and the executive terminal for anyone arriving by private jet, and airport meet and greet for F1 guests is part of the service rather than an extra line on the invoice.

Going home is the leg people forget to book. Monday morning at El Prat is the second peak of the week, when the paddock and half the grandstands move out together and the queue at the rank builds from about five. We collect from your hotel early enough for a premium cabin check in, and if your party is leaving on three different flights we will run three cars rather than making everybody travel at the pace of the earliest departure.

Getting out to the circuit

The question we field more than any other in race week is how to get from Barcelona city centre to Circuit de Catalunya on the day itself. It depends entirely on which day you are travelling. Friday is a comfortable 45 minutes. Sunday needs an hour and a half. We switch between the C17 and the AP7 depending on what the motorway is doing that morning, drop at the closest open gate for your grandstand, then hold at a point we agree with you for the way back. For hospitality groups, our F1 Barcelona VIP transport runs several cars to a single schedule with one point of contact for the whole party.

Tell us which grandstand you are in when you book, because the closest gate is not always the one the map suggests and the walk between them is longer than it looks on a hot June afternoon. Thursday has a pattern of its own as well, with the pit walk pulling a crowd out to Montmelo before the track goes live. If you are staying in Granollers or Mollet rather than the city, your run is ten or fifteen minutes and the whole timing conversation changes.

Frequently Asked Questions

How far in advance should I book an F1 Barcelona transfer?
As early as you reasonably can. Race weekend is the busiest motorsport date in the Catalan calendar and the larger vehicles go first. For a single car, four to six weeks is usually comfortable. For a hospitality fleet of five cars or more, give us ten weeks and we will hold the vehicles.
How long does the drive from Barcelona to the circuit take?
About 45 minutes when the roads are clear. On Sunday morning, allow 90 minutes from your door to the gate. We collect from central hotels by 07:45 for a 14:00 start, which sounds early until you have seen the C17 at nine.
Will the driver wait during the race?
Yes, if you book the car by the hour for the day. The chauffeur stays with you instead of completing one leg and leaving. On race day this is what most people book, because the car is already outside when you walk out rather than forty minutes away.
Where will you collect me after the race finishes?
At a point we agree with you beforehand, outside the parking lockdown. It is usually a shorter walk than going back to the circuit car parks, and it keeps you out of the exit queue completely.
What cars do you use?
Mercedes EClass and SClass saloons for one to three passengers, VClass and eight seat vans for groups, and minibuses for larger parties. If you are carrying camera kit or hospitality material, say so when you book and we will send something with the boot space for it.
Is the price fixed?
Yes. You get the price in writing when you book and it does not move afterwards. We do not apply surge pricing on a race weekend or on any other weekend.
